MMU Welcomes First Student of the 2nd Cohort of the Mainstream Mobility Project

Mountains of the Moon University is pleased to welcome the first student of the second cohort of the Mainstream Mobility Project, Mr. Ebenezer Manso from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Mr. Manso has joined Mountains of the Moon University to undertake his Master’s research in Agroecology under the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. His presence at the University marks an important step in strengthening academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between institutions in Africa.

The University community warmly welcomes Mr. Manso and wishes him a productive and successful research stay at Mountains of the Moon University.

Arsi University Welcomes EACEA Professors for MAINSTREAM Project Monitoring and Evaluation

On 24 February 2026, Arsi University hosted an on-site monitoring and evaluation visit for the MAINSTREAM Project under the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme (MOBAF 2023). The review was conducted by Prof. Huba Boshoff, an international higher education specialist, and Prof. Patricio Langa, Chair of the African Consortium of Higher Education Researchers, representing the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The mission examined overall project implementation, institutional performance, governance structures, and student participation. University leaders, directors, deans, and the Institutional MAINSTREAM Project Coordinator presented key accomplishments, progress updates, and strategic priorities for the next phase. The program combined formal presentations, interactive discussions, and campus facility visits. The first cohort mobility students from Kenya and Togo also joined virtually to share their academic and intercultural experiences. The visiting professors recognized the University’s solid institutional capacity and dedication to high-quality international mobility, while providing constructive recommendations to enhance sustainability and deepen partnership collaboration in the forthcoming phase of the MAINSTREAM Project.
